Today, Stanford released their findings of Pregnancy Risks with Asian-White couples where the mother is Asian and the biological father is Caucasian. Their findings will be published in the October issue of American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
My poor Obstetrician...he's going to have a laundry list of questions from me next Wednesday!
From their findings:
An increased risk of gestational diabetes. ~4% (compared to white couples at 1.61%)
An increased likelihood of having to deliver via caesarean. 33.2%...that's 1/3 of the deliveries!(compared to white mothers-Asian fathers at 23%)
