At first, we weren't really sure what this Halloween mess was all about...
And then I explained that he'd get lots of candy so Mason perked up immediately.
Well, that is until he found out he had to wear a costume...
But then he thought it a decent enough exchange- he'd be a monkey {which he really is anyway}, and people would gift him with treats.
We went to our church's Fall Festival the Sunday night prior, but he also really enjoyed going door-to-door trick-or-treating. This was our first year to try this {since he walks now}. He knew that once we arrived at a door, he'd hop out of the stroller, would knock or try to reach the doorbell and then he'd happily grab candy from the offered dish. At the end he'd wave "Bye Bye". He said "trick treat" a couple of times, but only on the sidewalk after we'd already visited a house *sigh*
After about 45 minutes, he'd had enough though so we strolled back home and he enjoyed giving out candies to the trick-or-treaters that visited our house. What a good little goblin!
Happy Halloween!

Lots of Love for Mason

Wow...it still amazes me how much Mason is loved, adored, prayed-for AND he's not even here yet! Today CrossBridge showered me with gifts for Baby Mason and I am again overwhelmed. I had 12 hostesses and although right now I can't find my Baby Book (if you saw all the gifts, you'd understand why), I think the head-count is somewhere around 47 that attended the shower!

Here are several pictures from today:

Mason and I are so blessed to be with a church community that surrounds us with gracious love.

What a day and what a celebration!

Baby Shower!

Saturday, some of my closest friends threw me a Baby Shower Brunch...it was incredible! From the invitations and decor to the food, cake, and games- it was a huge blessing and I felt very honored and loved. Pictures describe much more than I could ever write so here's a sample of the festivities:

Holiday Update 2 of 3

Much celebrating in Oklahoma!

I had my first Baby Shower and it was extremely special. Mom and Dad's church threw a shower for me on Sunday, December 28th, and Baby Mason and I were showered with many gifts and blessings. I could hardly believe that these wonderful ladies did this for me- and many didn't even know me before my visit. Mom and Dad have some precious friends in Enid!

I didn't get many pictures with my camera, but here are some to give you an idea of how much fun we had and how incredible these ladies were to me:

The table was so cute with baby blue accents; Mom and I had blue and white ribbon corsages to match the decor. I'm hoping someone took a picture of the table spread...it was adorable!

Mayson and Hannah reading through the Baby Book.

We played two games:
  1. Dirty Diaper Game- guess what kind of "poop" is in the diaper (melted chocolate candy bars in diapers)
  2. Name the Food- guess what food was in the unlabeled baby food jars
Both received many, many laughs. I think this picture was Michelle lamenting over how sorry she was for the baby that passed this "poop" (I thought the Heath Bar one would hurt too!)

Here is my gift from Mammie Kay (Mom's mom in OKC)

And then here's a picture of all my "loot" from the Shower...seriously well-gifted! And remember those New Balance baby shoes? They're in there too (good job Momma!).

It's also amazing to me that these women have been praying for me and Mason, that they're continuing to send up prayers for a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and for the little guy to be healthy too.
THANK Y'ALL & GOD BLESS Y'ALL
