Wake Up Mommy it's FALL

Lately an early morning for us is 7:30am. Yes, we've both adjusted to life changes and one of those involves sleeping in a little later. But the other morning, Mason was bright and chipper...and begging to go out and play. And well since it's the end of September, you'd think we could finally get outside again and hit the playground since we hadn't been since sometime early July. So we headed to the park to test out our new umbrella stroller. Yay for a much lighter, compact, and convenient stroller- we use it for almost every trip now {plus the Jeep stroller has the cool mesh backing}.
And Mace loved pushing down the big spiral slide.
But alas, it's still too hot for me at least. Poor Mason's nose was drenched in sweat so we probably only played for about 20 minutes. Oh well, cooler weather will come soon enough.
Happy Autumn!

Cousins

Sweet Sophia is sitting up on her own- check out her super sweet houndstooth skirt and Alabama hairbow!
And Mason is having to learn how to share.
The cousins love each other!

My Little Engineer

For Grandadder...
Mason seems to have a very calculating mind.

To Smock or Not to Smock

Sometime in his infancy, I decided to dress Mason like a little man...hence his "Little Man" Birthday Party.
But now that he looks more like a little boy, all I want to do lately is dress him like a little baby in sweet smocked outfits and Jon Jons galore.
Sorry Mace, your mommy's thinking is backwards!

Big Shoes to Fill

Lately, we've been having fun trying to fit Daddy's shoes...
And I even think he's got the hang of it...

Like Daddy, Like Son

I've waited my whole life for this...and so has Mason.
We are extremely blessed to have finally found Scott. He loves and adores me...and he also loves and adores Mason. He'll even be adopting Mason after we're married!
These guys have clicked since the start though. I call it "Love at First Sight" for all of us!
And whether it be something simple like feeding or changing a diaper, to cutting his hair or picking up baby supplies, Scott has been a huge blessing and takes care of the both of us with a joyful heart.
Mason even gets a huge kick out of playing with Daddy's techie computer stuff. I can already envision my little nerds playing some video game or working out computer issues together...
And while they don't necessarily look alike, I do sometimes see slight resemblances like the "wild man" wrestling, and the hair 'do to match.

We can hardly wait to officially be a Family!
