Our Wednesday

I love my little monkey!
His mommy should have strapped him in...because as she took the photo, he lunged forward to pose with this goofy grin. And then we headed to the neighbor's for a "Pool Party"
Mason completely digs the water play...
I crack up at his little physique, he has some serious muscle potential...I may put him at the benchpress before he turns two- ha! What a studly toddler!

Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough

He's just a regular Michael Jackson dancing machine!
Friday Mason strolled around the house wearing my fedora...this little boy makes me smile so much!

Little Builder

The boy loves to build. Although what's ironic is that I can't really encourage him to build or he'll think it's funny to tear his tower down at something low like 3 blocks high.
He's up to 9 blocks high completely on his own...
OR is he...
Haha- he did place 2 blocks on top, but the base was made by Uncle Batman...don't get too excited.

Did I Mention?

...It's been madness over here lately.

In addition to a jam-packed schedule, in a single day last week, Mason:
  1. Started the day off by pulling the front of his diaper down while watching morning cartoons in my bed and peed on my sheets, unbeknownst to me at 5:30am...
  2. Took his clothes and diaper off after breakfast to run around the house naked...
  3. He then proceeded to pull my dining room curtains down (bent rod and had to use an anchor for the stripped wall)...
  4. De-potted a plant, spreading dirt everywhere like it was finger paint...
  5. Broke his toy truck (thankfully I was able to fix it)...
  6. And then the icing on the cake was the shattering of a crystal candlestick in my bedroom.
Bravo little boy!
You wear me out...daily!

17-Months Old

At 17-Months, Mason's...
...loving storytime, the library, and books in general.
...sporting 14 teeth. The top 2 canines haven't yet broken through and his molars haven't fully descended either, but this kid is drooling like crazy so it's only a matter of time before he has a full mouth.
...learning at a rapid pace. He can mimic about 10 different animal sounds {which is a big jump in his repertoire from just the bear growl and puppy bark about a month ago}
...constantly active and he wants to play with bigger kids.
...a pro at mess making.
...is now using a spoon, training fork, and can drink from a cup. He's just really messy though so I give him the sippy cup most of the time so he won't play with his cup.

Mommy Side Notes: He's a booger! His separation anxiety is fairly awful. I can't even leave him in the church nursery for 30 minutes. He can be left at home without me, it's just that I can't leave him anywhere else with anyone else. While his temper tantrums aren't quite as frequent, he's very mischevious adventurous and seems to get into new things every day. He's also afraid of bath bubbles {???} now which is out-of-character for my formerly fearless boy. And lately it's been horrible getting him down for bedtime. He wants to sleep with me every night...and it ain't happening because he's a rowdy bedfellow!

All the Single Ladies

Check out cousin Sophia Grace!
She's such a gorgeous little girl, growing by leaps and bounds!
We were super excited to have them in town on Wednesday and Thursday.
Mason LOVES his cousin.
They're so sweet together...Baby Sophie loves her cousin too!
Wednesday night, we were invited to a special get-together dinner at Aunt Mary's friend's home. Mason was stoked to get to see all the ladies...and Miss Coco {below}.
Could these girls be any prettier?
Of course Mason enjoyed being surrounded by beautiful women.
He stole a few kisses too...
What a fun night-thank you Miss Sarah {she's the pretty blond on the left} we had a blast!

Busy Bees

Whew, it's been crazy fun-filled week! On Tuesday, Mason went to his first movie:
He enjoyed about 45 minutes of it and then he wanted to get down to boogie around. *sigh* At least we were able to catch half of "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs".Then that evening we took a trip to visit Mr. Charles Edward Cheese.
Mason was mostly interested in the lights and buttons everywhere...even if it was just the token slot. Think he'd like Vegas?
We took our photo sketch. Mason enjoys the spotlight anytime he can catch it.
And since this was a birthday party for Uncle Batman's friends, Mason did a good job of graciously visiting every party goer to say "Hello"...even during an intense video match. He's just good like that.
Does anyone have a Quarter?
Whee!
He's learning gaming early on.
Just too bad he didn't really enjoy Chuck E. I can't blame him though. I don't much care for the oversized rodents either.
What a Tuesday!

Snap Crackle & Pop

We've had an All-American Fourth of July Weekend! Sunday we didn't do much as we had a full 13-hour Saturday with travel the day prior. But since it was such a beautiful day, we did head to the park in the early evening.
And then like any good Mommy, I fed him a nutritious meal of McDonald's burger, french fries...and apple pie.
It's been a wonderful celebration weekend of baseball, apple pie, and McDonald's. How much more American can you get? =)

We hope y'all had a lovely Fourth too!

America's Favorite Pastime

Uncle Sean treated Uncle Batman, Mason and me to a Braves game on Saturday. It was Mason's first trip to Atlanta and his very first baseball game so we were stoked about the trip!
I'm ecstatic to report that Mason lasted 3.5 hours sitting through the game. That's pretty good for a 1-yr-old! We were very fortunate to have great seats immediately behind the visitor's dugout...which all the season ticket holders and veteran fans knew this was ideal because after the first 45 min we were in the shade whereas at the home dugout we'd have still been in the sun. Yay!
What better way to start off our Fourth weekend...I mean Baseball is America's favorite pastime!
Of course we did struggle a bit as Mason wanted to get down to run around. Thankfully we were on the very end of the row and Uncle Sean bought Mason his own seat so we had some extra wandering room for the little guy.
He even had his own glove...ready to catch his own fly ball.
He wasn't pleased with the Umpire's call...poor Chipper had a fly ball called as a strike.
A milk break...
Uncles Sean and Batman...and a 'creeper' {haha}
Thank you Uncle Sean! The 4 yr-old seat neighbor behind us shared his tomahawk with the "baby." =)
We had a fantastic time and it was the perfect 1st baseball game for Mason Tinsley! He's got his first game under his belt, he's got his first glove, now it's just time to put a ball in his hand {preferably his left!}.
And then we topped off a wonderful day with dinner at Maggiano's...YUMMINESS!
